Spaz- new to site and live VA

Gentlemen,

Live in Virginia Beach and I'm very interested in purchasing a Cobra down the road...you guys get together at all? If so where so this inexperienced guy can chat w/ you and check out the Cobras in person?

Thanks,
Spaz

Spazz;
There are a number of Cobras in the Tidewater area but you've chimed in a little on the late side for seeing open-top cars at car shows. You might get lucky and see a few at Jenro's late Saturday afternoon at the old Haygood shopping center if the weather is nice. There's also a show at an ice-cream shop by Red Mill (the name escapes me) on Saturday afternoon. If you're serious about buying a car, check out the Kit Car/Replica show in Carlisle, PA each year in May. You'll see plenty of cars and get to talk to the manufacturers too. You should join the Tidewater Cobra Club and keep posted on events in the area:

But above all, keep hangin' around here. Good luck.

Spaz, I spend Thanksgiving in Va. Beach every year and have made a few local friends (motorheads too). This last visit I spent with a friend who races a Porche Cup car and a certifiable crazy motorhead looking at Cobras and Daytona Coupes. I met a new dealer and another guy who may have a Superformance for sale. PM me and I'll dig up the names for you. The dealership I'm talking about has a Cobra AND a Daytona Coupe that you can test drive:cool:

Ray,

Thanks. Heard State Farm is the best place for insurance for a Cobra...true?

Very respectfully,
Spaz

I had my SPF insured with State Farm back in 2003. When I purchased the Kirkham, I contacted State Farm and they told me that they changed their policy and would only cover it up to $45K (or close to that figure).

Grange recently had come out with a new policy for collector cars and that is where the Kirkham is insured.

spazz...I insure through ANPAC www.anpac.com. I have max insurance on car valued at 60k and they allow 10,000 miles/year. 500 deductible. 600.00/year

I live just around the corner from Red Mill and am a regular at Jeroes and Red Mill too!
