Hose to Weber manifold

Hi!. First, I'm new to post here but have lurked for a long time. This forum seems to have more people knowledgeable/interested in Weber carbs, So, my problem-Can any one give me an idea about how to fit up a heater hose to this fitting in the picture? There is less than an 1/8" between the brass barb and the dist base. I tried to construct an extension fitting that had a section of straight pipe in it but that's very tight too. Could I drop the 5/8 hose for something smaller without flow problems???? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Jon

Try switching your Temp sender and the heater hose outlet. They should both be 3/8 NPT threads. You may have to grind a little off the sender adapter so it doesn’t hit the distributor housing. Just a thought.

Hose has a larger diameter than tubing. So, if you haqve trouble getting pipe to fit, then a hose will be impossible.

First, use an extension hose, then a 90* elbow or block, and then the hose barb. You'll need to remove the carb to get it one there.

Why not plug it?

If u drill & tap a new hole at the rear, it'd make a cleaner look- if you need the heater, that is.

What was your solution? Did it work?
