The 18/21 was at 2500 rpm on the road. I,ll try the IR meter. When I get back in Feb. I,ll try the smaller idle jet. Now that the plugs are set I think the tune will be easier.

If you had popping while at cruising speed and not on deceleration or acceleration, you had a spark issue which you probably solved. By 2000 rpms you are well into the transition and the emulsion tube is starting to flow. I am running this setup,

idle 65
holder 100
Main 170
air corrector 180
F7 tubes
.50 bypass
40 chokes
Hydo roller cam .655 lift, 246 dur @ .050
on a 482 side oiler.

There is a hole between the main jets where you can see the float. My floats are 8.5 mm down from the top surface.

Oh yeah, I ran an LM1 A/F meter and I am pretty solid around 13 to 1. I sat timing at 36 degrees, all in just off idle.
