Replacement idle mixture screws

The IDA's that I have are of the Italian variety. The original idle mixture screws are steel and have a very fine point. I purchased a set of new screws which are of brass, but the tips on the new screws are not as fine, in fact thay are a little blunt on the tip. Anyone have and opinion on whether using them would reduce the adjustability of the idle mixture?

Thanks in advance:JEKYLHYDE

Rick,

Are the tapers the same and only the very tip is different?

If it's only the tips, they should work the same.

If the tapers are different, the adjustment will be different.

The blunt taper will give a more "fussy" or "faster either way".

The fine taper will be more user friendly.
