48 IDA Weber Idle Jet Holder Sizing
I know I knew this at one point & now I've forgotten... I'm trying to write down, again, what I had done with my Jetting before my computer died & took the info with it. I pulled my jets to write everything down again. The only piece of info I don't have now is the sizing on my Idle jet holders. I know I soldered them, they were 120. I have a set of 100's on the shelf so I'm assuming they are set at 110. How do I check this?

If you have a set of drills, use them to verify existing hole size.

So they were 1.20mm and you soldered them but you remember how you made them between 1.00 and 1.20?
Buy a metric drill set from 0.3mm to 2.00mm. |
I guess my question is "are the two holes on a 120 holder .60mm each?". I soldered one shut, so I'm assuming that I drilled the existing to 1.1mm. I'll check it today.
EDIT: That must have been it. One Hole Plugged, the other measuring 1.10mm, making it a 110 Holder.

Hyde: The 120's that I had only had 1 hole. The surface area of 2 @ .60 mm is less than 1 @ 1.20 mm. It would be richer with the 2 holes.

I can't remember what they were. But I did solder one hole & the other is at 1.10mm & running smooth with nicely colored plugs.

An IDA's idle holder can be 0.6mm, 1.00mm or 1.20mm.
If you had two holes, they must have been originally 0.6mm.
Two holes of .6 gives about .85mm, still smaller than 1.00mm.
For the record, 4 x .6mm holes = 1 x 1.20mm.

Ok, back to the original question. If you have a 120 holder & you want to make it a 110, how do you drill & solder it?

I would solder the 1.20 hole and drill a new 1.10 hole.
A new hole in brass will be more accurate than a 1.10 hole through a soldered 1.20 hole.

That is what I have now. Seems to be running well.
