Anyone need a Weber manual?
I've wound up with a duplicate. I have;
Weber Carburettors by John Passini #2. Tuning & Maintenance Speedsport Motorbooks, 1973 printed in England I purchased the 2nd book, and while looking for a copy of his 1st book, I found a set with both #1 & #2. So, if anyone needs/wants it, let me know, I'll mail it to you. Joe |
Sure!
You going to Run N Gun in a couple of weeks? If so, maybe I can pick it up then. |
I am going to try and drag him out but he is still waiting on his pistons to come in for his 427 stroker. John if he doesn't come out to the track I can pick up the manual and bring it to you. He only lives about a mile from me.

Great, thanks Clois!
I understand about trying to get done in time. I just got mine inspected and titled yesterday. :) Need to put a few miles on it before I get to the track. |
I'll get it to Clois in case I don't make it to RNG.
|
Thanks, that's awesome.
Hope you can make it. I'd love to see your car one of these days. |
Yes, I'd like to see yours too. And compare notes on Weber's. Maybe I'll make it to RNG as a spectator, but my engine rebuild isn't done yet.
take care, Joe |
How do you like that book ? Much IDA specific infomation ?

Z,
I haven't read it yet! I bought 3 or 4 different Weber books off of ebay in the last 1-2 weeks, but I haven't looked at any of them yet. I'll be installing my 462 FE stroker soon (hopefully!), and this one will have the Weber setup on it. I figured I'd need plenty of reference material to fine tune them. The setup came off of a 427 cu. in. FE in a Cobra replica, so hopefully they are close enough to get me started. My last FE had a single Holley, this is my first rodeo with Weber's, so I'll be on a steep learning curve. Once I get it installed and running, I'll post an update. take care, Joe |
One of the best is the tuning manuals on Pearce Manifolds Website. It actually has drawing of the various emulsion tubes, allowing you to understand and see the differences.
|
Thanks Rick, I'll check it out!

Both of John Passini's books have a wealth of knowledge but do not provide any specific recommendations or starting points, especially for our applications. The verbiage used often left me wondering what he was attempting to convey. Personally I liked the way the information is portrayed in Pearce's manual as it ispresented with charts, tables and illustrations that make it easy to anticipate what a specific change will accomplish.
