Went outside this AM and fidgeted with the car for a bit. Verified the floats remained at the 6mm height I originally set them at. One was WAY low, flooding the throats upon cranking Checked ignition timing at 12*BTDC, which resulted in exhaust pops, so I’m getting spark and fuel. Rotated the distributor slightly clockwise which resulted in carb pops. Wound up breaking a plug wire terminal off in the distributor cap, so I closed up shop for the day. I was going to try bypassing the MSD box with a separate electronic pickup in the distributor, and wire it directly to the coil. However, it appears the 8 pronged inductor(?) is a press fit on the Boss 302 distributor sonthats a no-go. The air gap between the inductor and the original pick up is .008” Beyond frustrated. Troubleshooting a simple ignition issue shouldn’t be this difficult
