Fuel leak

Hi, I‘m new and have a fuel leak on my right, rear IDF48. It is on a 302 with mild cam an a bunch of other things. The fuel is leaking up out of the top. The psi has never been over 3. what should I be checking?

I'd say you should be pulling the airhorn (lid) the top of the carb, and check the needle and seat for hose debris etc, and whether the needle and seat functions correctly.
The engine will be flooding from this issue.

OP, Gary is spot on!

You potentially run the risk of a fairly impressive engine fire if you do not fix this leak.

I pulled it apart and found a bit of dirt but more concerning some aluminum shavings in the filter cover. Checking the other covers I found more of the same but in much smaller amounts. I also saw a bit of dirt in the bowls of the carburetor that I took apart. I probably should take the other carburetors apart too….

If these are new carburetors, I would pull them all apart, inspect as necessary, check needle and seat operation, check float level etc. I also recentre throttle blades and shafts.
