Thank to you to Ron!

Ron,
Thanks to all of you for making it a Bash!

I could not have asked for a better turnout. ALL of the people and types of cars that attended are exactly what we hoped for and BETTER! Look for the WSCB 2005 closing email. Engines starting for 2006 now. :) BTW: Your car sounded great. And, as you are probabaly aware, you need to be a member to see your .jpg pic links over at the Gasholes site. Maybe you can post the pic links here on CC when you recover from that sunburn. Had no idea, you guys were busy posting stuff over the weekend while you were at WSCB. Wow!

Stats:
85 cars at WSCB in total, not counting drop-ins (with rain Thurs)
72 cars did the drive and the track laps; what a suprise!
Too many different types of cars and MFGs to count. Wow!

It all really worked out very well, thankfully. Glad you had a good time. I read some of your posts on GH. See Ya.

Love finding strange stuff on the camera when you get back from a trip.

Brent and I were doing what Turk and I always do...take pictures of each taking pictures of each other.:JEKYLHYDE

Well, Brent was carrying around a bad boy lens on this one...big enough to carry my reflection!

BALLS! That's what I got. Balls. Big ones at that. Big, brass balls.

We got into the elevator to go up to the Hospitality Suite on Saturday night. The elevator stopped at a lower floor than the one we requested, meaning someone was going to get on and go up with us.

(Now, I am 6'5" in my shoes, and with the "Snake" hat, I am about 6'10" tall.)

As the elevator stopped, I stood right up close to the doors as they opened. An older Asian woman, about 5'0", was about to get on our elevator, but she took one look at me, screamed something in her language, and ran away from the elevator!

I busted up laughing!

Mr. Big Balls

I was trying to get a pic of your medusa hairpiece when you were driving out Sunday morning wearing it. Given the looks of folks on the sidewalk, maybe it was best that you kept moving quickly.

Good meeting ya, Edilly.;)

A few more WSCB 2005 pics for the bit bucket

Gotta few more. :)

Jamo: Ya gotta admit, that the Medusa hat got the most smiles from the good people at the Bash!!!

POTATO POTATO POTATO POTATO!

Jamo 05-23-2005 11:07 PM

It did do that, Edleberry.:p

We need to do a closed loop of your video interview description of the lumpy motors ("potato, potato potato..."). :3DSMILE:

Nice pics, Duane!

Edley Rondinone 05-23-2005 11:13 PM

AAAANNNDDD, you havent posted pics of my "colorful" Cobra Shirt!!! lol !!!

Jamo 05-23-2005 11:19 PM

Actually, I evidently didn't get a pic of the shirt...kept being drawn to those growths on your head. Anyone else?

I wore my extremely large bright yellow tie dye Bash shirt this evening...kids threatened to disown me if I ever wear it when their friends are over. Even the cats ran away. :JEKYLHYDE

decooney 05-23-2005 11:37 PM

Ron,
FYI: The tie-die thing was not my idea... promise. We sort of let this young and aspiring artist give it a try and he showed up with some really different stuff, before and after too many beers.

I'm looking for interesting ideas for next year's shirts. Got any?

Jamo 05-23-2005 11:42 PM

Heck, I ain't complaining...I picked that one on purpose!!!!:3DSMILE:

The shirts were great, though I would add the coordinator-style shirts you had this year for the general population next year. They looked great! ;)

BMK 05-23-2005 11:49 PM

Edley

That small Asian woman was possibly screaming.."get me a gun quickly"

Jamo's pick for Charter Member shirts

Jamo,
As for those shirts, someone has already asked if we could produce a nice "Charter Member" type shirt for those that attended the 1st year, coming back the 2nd year. Not a bad idea, eh? We are going to keep the blue for easy staff indentification and probably another color for the Charter Members with the gold writing and silver snake. Each shirt is quality, with hand made embroidery at a local shop here.

What base color do you like for the Charter Shirts?. Since you were officially the 1st person to register for WSCB 2005, I want to ask you to pick it. You name the Color and Short or Long sleeve for the Charter Members?

Jamo 05-23-2005 11:56 PM

Hmmm....

How about a light weight denim, long sleeve? Second choice would be black.

decooney 05-23-2005 11:58 PM

Which one do you prefer in long sleeve then? Denim will be cool and black will look and feel hot! :)

Jamo 05-24-2005 12:01 AM

I appreciate the courtesy, and I will be the only one to blame.

Denim, long sleeve.;)

decooney 05-24-2005 12:04 AM

Denim and Long Sleeve it is for the Charter shirts. I'll let others know at the Thursday meeting.

We might even be able to produce them early or this year since we don't have to wait til next year and they represent 1st year attendance any how.

Jamo 05-24-2005 12:44 AM

That's great. Thanks a bunch Duane.:)

New denim, stone-washed denim, acid-washed denim, black denim, "distressed" denim, reptile-skin denim?

I have to ask the hard questions!!! lol !!!

nikbj68 05-25-2005 03:13 PM

Hey Edley, at 6'5" without the aspwig, and with that look in your eyes.... I`ll bet everyone was laughing with you, not at you! (Except potential elevator partners!)
That Bash looks like it was SOOOOO much fun!
Thanks for the pics, Jamo.... not quite like being there, but I`ll take what I can get!
