Question is...how many cars will comfortably fit in the North end of the Peppermill parking lot?

As far as I know, the dark blue CAV GT-40 for $55K is still for sale at Shelby if anybody was interested.

decooney 06-02-2005 12:30 AM

Bill,
I checked. About 350-400 pending the high roller parking.

I let Chucky and Bob know about that CAV again today. You are selling it too cheap. Agreed. If I had room to keep it (gotta sell my '58 Bugeye), I know I could sell it here for more than Shelby is asking. Nice car.

'06 sign up

HeyDuane
I want to be the first one to sign up....I want to pick the shirt for next years bash!!!! I PROMISE I wont pick pink with ruffles!!! I mean like, can we start now, your all ready for it to begin all over again aren't you????

Edley Rondinone 06-02-2005 03:47 PM

Our corral was at the east end of the parking lot, next to Virginia Ave. How much further west could we expand, and could the vendors (if you decide to have vendors) park on the new "western" frontier, as it were?

Do the vendors HAVE to bring the big rigs?

Sorry, Jamo and Cindrrr, I have already made out and sent the BLANK check to be first in line for '06!!! lol !!!

(I am also working on something to top the Asp/Medusa hat!!!)

cindrrrr 06-02-2005 06:52 PM

But Edley, I over night Express mailed mine with specific amount for me AND 3 new recruits!!! So I guess that would put you fourth in line????? And I heard Jamo already beat us both!! That puts you fifth!!!

JUstttt kidding. I just wanted to pick the shirts!!!

Slither 06-02-2005 06:57 PM

Here's a scary thought. Edley, you can pick out the hat design!!!

decooney 06-02-2005 07:17 PM

Already have someone in mind for the art shirts this time, and working on a getting a draft. The first years graphic art shirts were a 4 on a scale of 1-10 if you ask me. Okay, but not good enough. We let a friend do them, and got what we got. We are shooting for a 9.5 next time, and i will be heavily involved in doing the shirts this time. The entire art and especially the cars have to look really good. They will next time if the guy I want to do them can do them for us. :)

I talked with the Peppermill Mgmt today. Should know more next week about whether or not they will have us back again next year. The problem is attendees did not use those PM cards, and they can't measure our gambling, etc. As for vendors, there is a LOT more involved with costs (very expensive), city permits, fire permits, checks/evaluations, licenses through the city for each vendor. It seems we'd have to price it very high for them to attend. Not really worth it for them or us. May pass on vendors in 2006. Personally, I'm not overly thrilled about having vendors. Need a real compelling reason to have big vendors and big big rigs at the Bash. Still can't see it, but not completely ruled out.

One thing: If I hear "Hey Little Cobra" more than once or twice, I am taking a baseball bat to the sound system.

Had to hear the old pharts that actually sang it sing it all weekend long at Fling III.

I'd rather hear Edley singing "Tip Toe Through The Tulips" while wearing his snake hat...now there's some real entertainment!;)

decooney 06-02-2005 08:24 PM

Funny thing is, it would not suprise me if Edley would actually do it if you asked him to.

Maybe you are on to something, Ron.

Edley Rondinone 06-02-2005 09:44 PM

Tiptoe Thru The Tulips---Nah, cant quite get that falsetto!

My favorite songs for Karaoke: (YOU guys brought it up!!!LOL!!!)

Little Red Ridin' Hood, by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs

The Devil Went Down to Georgia, by Charlie Daniels

Uneasy Rider, also by Charlie Daniels

I cant WAIT until WSCB '06 !!! lol !!!

Jamo 06-02-2005 09:54 PM

Kareoke...hmmmm....there's a concept.

I can do most of the Phantom songs if you don't mind made up words. Always sounds good in the shower.:JEKYLHYDE

Edley Rondinone 06-02-2005 09:58 PM

I wonder if cindrrr will duet "Leather and Lace" with me?

cindrrrr 06-02-2005 10:55 PM

Jamo if thats Phantom as in the opera, get Mrs Jamo to record it! its got to be some sort of Grammy winner!!!

Um Edley, just because Duane has already received my check (right Duane????? for me and 3 recruits, putting you 4th again or was it 5th, I still am not doing kareoke!! YOu do NOT want to hear me sing!!!! Ours dogs go running. The Cobras would all leave!!!

Jamo 06-03-2005 12:17 AM

Quite, my dear...is there another Phantom?:D

I'm afraid the good Mrs. Jamo does not have the ear or appreciation for my singing abilities, but she is a suitable wench for my needs. :p

cindrrrr 06-03-2005 12:22 PM

LOL!!!!
Sing the Phantom at '06 bash! I heard they were having prizes for the best kareoke now???? Phantom wins hands down, made up words or not!

Edley is singing the Medusa Rap!

Edley Rondinone 06-09-2005 04:33 PM

FO-SHIZZLE!!! lol !!!

Edley Rondinone 06-20-2005 04:08 PM

Maybe a trip to Lake Tahoe on one of the days.....Just to look-see!

rms427 06-20-2005 05:06 PM

Duane,

Thanks to you and your crew it was a great event. The only thing I would change is how the cruise was run. With so many cars it becomes dangerous to try and keep everyone in line. I think it would be better to run it as a poker run without trying to keep everyone together. Everyone leave at about the same time with directions to the next location. Stop at that location get a card with enough time to get everyone there. Pick spots where everyone can park. Then leave from that location to the next, etc, etc. The Fernley track was great and I hope you could continue that.

Some of the gals thought it would be better to have the awards and drinks before instead of after dinner. Might just do it out in the parking lot with the cars. Just keep it simple.

Thanks again, Ray

decooney 06-20-2005 07:04 PM

Edley, Ray,
Your input is spot on with others I've received. We are going to both of what you suggested for next year. Drive, Awards earlier, and a trip over to North Tahoe as part of the drive. Thanks for the additional confirmation, good to know. :)
