Main Vendors at WSCB 2007 - FREE to Spectators
SPECIALTY VENDORS at WSCB in 2007 Folks, once again here we have Cobra/Daytona/GT40 industry leaders and specialists joining us at the Western States Cobra Bash. Many are returning vendors and we have some new ones.
NOTE: Tell your friends to come out and visit these industry specialty vendors, it's FREE to spectators to walk up to the Corral, come visit, and check it out. Many people flew in last year from all over the US and outside of the US to use this opportunity to help them decide on their next car, product, or services for their existing or future car to purchase. It's really something to see and hear real customer cars that get driven, all ligned up side-by-side, or out at the track on Friday or just in the paddock. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to see these vendors and their specialized services ALL in ONE LOCATION. Date/Location: May 17th-20th, 2007 - Thursday at Noon through Sunday at Noon at the John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks, Nevada - 5 minutes from Reno. The vendors will be in the secured 5th level parking structure "WSCB Corral" for most of the weekend and all of us will be down at street level in Victorian Square in Sparks during the public car display Saturday the 19th. See you there! Note: You will NOT SEE A BETTER VARIETY, QUALITY, and VARIATION of Cobra replicas and nice origingals together anywhere else in the world. It's very true, many of our attendees can back up this statement; especially those who've had the fortune to travel and compare around the world. Also worth noting - These are not all the vendors; we just filled up. Some are just attending with their cars as attendees. There will be plenty of cars to see from ALL manufacturers, product, or service providers. Reserve that plane ticket now before it's too late. |
Duane,
Not to be critical....but....there are a couple of day/date errors in the above post in the Date/Location paragraph. Thursday is the 17th and Saturday is the 19th. Tom |
Super critical is GOOD Tom, Thanks. I've been at it too long the last two days/nights going over all the driver, passenger, vendor, and track day registrations (repeatedly) and have to check myself right now. May 17-20th it is and the 19th is the public show. It's good to know someone is actually reading this. :D

I wish we could get these events to not all occur on the same weekend in May ;) Atleast I can drive from Hershey to Carlisle and cover both, but Sparks is out of my reach :)

Offering my skills
Jay,
I know that it is too late for this year and I have my airline tickets, but for next year let me offer my services to drive one of the fine Backdraft Cobras out to the WSCB for you. I saw your exquisite vehicles last year at Hershey, so I am sure the trip would be a simple task. Larry |
Or, like we mentioned to a few others last year regarding the same topic, they could just blow off that sea of show cars at Carlisle and come on out to the Bash "activities" instead. The car show is the last thing we do at WSCB... everything prior to that involves meeting, driving, and just having fun together. Decisions Decisions. :D

Where as the WSCB is all about Cobras... ERA will be here. :D Shelby American will be here... ;) When will Backdraft be on the West Coast? Are they in the car business or the Cobra business? Or is it the racing business? Reg? |
If I'm not mistaken Reg was at the '06 Bash, I chatted with him briefly, seemed like a nice guy. Apologies if it was someone else from Backdraft out of Florida.

It's a big country and plenty of spots to checkout in the year. Until we setup out west it will be tough to hit all these events. Working on it... |
Hi Jay,
I apologize for jerking your chain about coming out, I thought you were discussing attending as an attendee, and just realized you are a vendor. We have been full on vendor spots since just after Christmas anyhow. Yeah, I'd agree, it's a long way to come to display some BDR cars there. FYI: There will be (13) BDR cars there for people to see already, so Backdraft Racing replicas will be more then well represented by their proud customers! :D |
No offense taken. I'm glad to see all these events gaining momentum. If I could be at everyone I would be. Vintage has 3 customers attending, if it were another weekend (or Hershey or Carlisle) I would be happy to fly out and spend time with our extended family... just too many events at once.
I'm all for the driving vs. show events. How many of the West Coasties are going to be in London ;) |
I'm not baggin on the show events, it just that 80% of the people coming to the Bash would not attend if it was just a show-n-shine. It's more like a big party between people who love driving their Cobras, than anything else. The more chips on the front end, the more the cars are praised too. :D
|
Since this is not a race event, and Reg probably did not sell too many cars off of his visit last year, no show this year. I get it.
So much for building a customer base and interaction. Keep up the good work! :p |
This simplest explanation for vendors to pick select Carlisle over WSCB is, IMHO, that California is likely the most difficult state in the union to register a car.... not to mention a car that has never been registered before. Who can blame them for going where the business is? Sad... but true :(
|
Actually, we were sold out with vendor spots in January or so and even if more vendors wanted to attend; they couldn't. And we can't compare the two gatherings. We are small time and focused on Cobras, Daytonas, GT40s only. They basically sit all weekend and we Drive... :D
|
Guess you missed my point.

I think I did, if you were referring to me. Say, what's the weather forecast going to be this year for WSCB 2007 - any ideas yet? :D |
Hi Duane,
Okay... if you say so. The weather? As requested......... Perfect :D |
