Trailer Parking Manners
Obviously, this can go FUBAR (or resemble a "Mongolian Cluster F***" as George Carlins likes to say) if we all don't consider others when parking our trailers per the instructions Duane put together. In order to make sure that the organizers get to have a good time instead of handling continuous b!tching from our own self-inflicted stupidity, I thought I'd briefly recap the setup.
Bob Haustein is in charge of trailer parking...he'll either be at the Check-in desk or down at the trailer lots. 1. We are NOT parking in the Nugget's westside parking lot. Print out the Overview/Schedule Packet and read it. There are two lots on the northside of the freeway. One is for 22' or shorter trailers, and the other is for longer than 22' trailers (another space is reserved for big rigs). Park in the correct lot. 2. Park your trailer with even spacing so there's enough room for everyone. Don't block someone's ability to get their tow vehicle back in to pull their trailer out. Remember, many Track Day folks will be taking their trailers to Fernley early Friday morning...we will NOT be happy if some moron screws it up for us by blocking access to our trailers. 3. Unhitch your trailer...park your tow vehicle on the fourth floor of the parking garage. No exceptions. Now, instead of asking an assinine question here...Review the Packet and look at the overhead photo which clearly shows where the freeking lots are. They are close by...not much further than the old westside lot. Thank you for your expected cooperation. |
