Chicago area help wanted AND RECEIVED! THANKS!
Guys,
I'm building a non-Cobra  There's a hood I'm trying to buy from a guy in Homewood which I think is near Chicago. Since I'm in Florida, it's a bit far, so it might be helpful if I could find someone willing to pick it up and store it for me until I could make some transportation arrangements. Anyone got the time and space? Tom |
Tom,
Homewood is south of the city. I'm about 30 miles northwest of there. I could try and help you out. Let me know some specifics... Alan |
Alan,
I'm in north east Florida and just bought a Zephyr Turbo hood from a guy in Homewood IL. Ultimately I'm looking for a way to get it here, via almost anyplace. Atlanta, Louisiana, the DC area would be great. So I guess I'm looking for someone who is going south who would have room for it, or who would know how to get it crated (economically?) so it could be shipped. I know it's asking a lot! Tom |
Tom,
I'll be more than happy to pick it up for you and store it in my basement until we can figure out a way to get it down to you. I personally am not going down south anytime soon but may have an in-law coming up here from Atlanta in early June for a graduation party. What are the dimensions of the hood? Alan |
Alan,
That would be delightful! I have a daughter and her family in Cumming GA who would be happy to receive it and store it for me. Since two of the grandkids are also there we go fairly frequently. The hood itself is about 50" x 50" x maybe 6" thick, and weighs (complete guess) about 40 pounds. The guy who sold it to me is in Homewood. His name is Eric Stromquist and his e-mail is eric5oh@ameritech.net I'll send him a copy of this message. BTW, if it turns out to be overly difficult or impractical (i.e., your visitor is driving a Smart car LOL) don't hesitate to say no. Regards, Tom |
Tom,
I can pick it up in my Expedition with the seats folded down. It should fit without any problem. Is he going to have it wrapped in anything or will it be "naked"? Alan |
Alan,
You have an e-mail. Regards, Tom |
Tom,
I don't see an e-mail. PM me...thanks! Alan |
Alan,
You have a PM Tom |
Tom,
Thanks...PM back at you. Alan |
Alan,
You have a PM (and thanks!) Tom |
