Interior
I am looking to redo my interior carpet and trunk carpet, does anyone know of a good place? or does anyone know how to do it and would like to help me out, i would compensate you for your time.

Try ERA for help
Sycho24 Kevin ERA might sell you a complete inside the car rug kit that is precut to fit a cobra. I don't know if they would sell patterns for the same job. You could remove you old rug and use it as a template for the new ones, Glueing the cut edges is important. A couple of screws and glue hold them into plate. Thin 1/2" aluminum strap with a couple of screws flipped ininside also helps help everything in place too. Rick L. Ps I beat that you are looking at 1,500.00 -2,000 dollars for this repair. 2-3 cans of spray glue, good piece of carpet and your own sweat and you have 3-400.00 dollars total bill. Try Cobra restorer if they are still around, They might have the correct carpet and maybe cut also.

Why not call Shell Valley or Google "Bently Carpet " suppose to be a better quality carpet for cars.

This guy did my carpet in my Cobra and his work was above and beyond. His prices are very resonable and turn times are quick. I also had him recover a snowmobile seat from scratch and it looked better than the factory seat and it was cheaper!

I did mine because I changed alot from the origial plan. It seemed as if I was more scared of the unknown than how difficult it was. Started with one big piece of carpet and made patterns for the pieces. I sewed the external seams (borrowed a larger sewing machine from my wifes friend) and glued the but seams on internal seams. Used a strip of aluminum that I polished for overlap seams. Remember that what ever the base is like the carpet can be like, some imperfections will show through the carpet. Took probably 10 hours of futtsing and retrys and had about 100.00 into it.

thank you to those who replied, i will look into all suggestions.
i met a wccc member at the volo show, he drove a maroon/red colored cobra. he lives south i remember him telling me, but i do not recall his name, i liked the carpet he had put in his cobra. would anyone who attended the volo show know who i am talking about? thanks Kevin Sychowski |
