2012 Calendar
To All Club Members,
The directors are working on a new Calander for the 2012 season. We are requesting dates for any events that you would like to see placed on the calander. We received a few at the Snake-n-Eggs last month but don't want to miss any that you would like to post for next year. So please respond as soon as possible with all events and dates for same and we will place in the appropriate month. Fred |
Volo is Septemmber 2 and the rain date is September 3rd.

Thanks Blas; anyone else what to add to the Calander?

Fred and Directors,
Are you getting ANY replies from the membership? The WCCC Directors do a lot of work on the clubs behalf and don't appear to be getting any guidance or much help from the membership in the way of event planning or event running. They sure would enjoy their cars a lot more with weekly events or breakfasts like in the early days.. It appears to me like it's going to be a quiet Summer of 2012. I hope you correct me and tell me you got 20 offline emails... |
British Car Union Show - Sept. 9
Unfortunately, I'll likely be in classes most weekends during the spring and summer, plus whatever days I'll be at the Ren Faire, so I'll be out in the cobra on weekdays rather than weekends. But I will schedule in big events - annual picnic, some shows ... |
Dates for Calender
Hey guys!
Hows everybody doin? I am pretty sure we have plugged in the dates for 100 Day S&E, London Cobra Show, the Club picnic, and Volo. We are looking for any other rides, or events you guys want to check out. Thanks WCCC |
There were a lot of good ideas at the S&E. Did we settle on the Gilmore trip? I also liked the Autobahn idea (of coarse) if we can pull it together.
I have always wanted to put together an early morning trip down east Ohio and Lake Shore Drive as a group, before traffic gets heavy - I think it would cause such a scene. Then maybe we can head down for eats somewhere down south of the city. Just my $.02 that event I would sponsor. tim**) |
The over night trip to Galena some of you guys went on last year. I was not able to make it last year, but it sounded great.

Possible new event is the Evolution Driving School this year it is at Gary Ind. May 5 for Phase 1 and May 6 for phase 2. You do not need to sign up for both but must take phase 1 first. I have taken phase 1 about two year ago and it was fun. I got about 20 to 25 runs in one day and learned a lot. Cost is $250. per day. Links below will take you to their web site.

I know I am getting old so I might be mistaken, but it seems like the same people keep on responding to this thread. I apologize in advance but I am seeking to understand why others aren't getting involved. Prove me wrong.

Travel to Quad Cities?
We have a number of events in the Quaf Cities (Moline( on the Mississippi.
John Deere Classic Golf Tournament in early July Bix Jazz Festival in late July Any interest in taking Rock River road to Moline? Members are welcomed to stay with us if you are in the area. |
I did some consulting work in the Quad cities and driving through that area is beautiful and would be a lot of fun. I'll have to find an open weekend to plan a trip that way in the Cobra.
