On the lift
I knew I wasn't going to get much driving time this season between work and school, but I'm sad to report that the car will be up on the lift for the near future. Ed decided that the antifreeze leak is more major than we originally thought and he's going to try to find time to pull the whole thing apart and fix it. Still want to get out and play, but it will likely be in the Elise until I get the Cobra back.

Oh hell, my car is in a gazillion pieces and I haven't even gotten to the radiator yet - but the tear down has nothing to do with leaks but rather the need for speed. On days like today I feel your pain - it would have been a good day to aim the car west - and just nail it. Hang in there, look on the positive side - you'll be back on the road long before me.

Ed's told me specifically, but that leaked out of my brain already. :JEKYLHYDE: But he's talking about needing to drop the oil pan and all kinds of other stuff. Might be necessary, might be his way of tinkering the car without me being too upset about it. ;)

Oil pan removal for a water leak eh.... Hmmmmmmmm
BTW: I have divined and fabricated a front license plate bracket for the Superformance. Built it yesterday evening. Sits in the opening up high, and swings back out of sight. Can be made to stay tucked away if desired.

That's it! And that's it! Can you share the licese plate idea?
Although I've got a little leeway as I just registered for new personalized extended use antique plates!

I put some photos together and send them to you so you can look it over and comment if you have any better ideas, then I can post the info here. I've racked my brain tryig to come up with something other than the turn signal mounted plate hanger. This design flips up and down out of sight. Not too many options.
