Aug. Meeting in Rockford????
I would like to suggest an Aug. meeting in Rockford on Thursday, Aug 2 at BeefaRoo on south Alpine.
It is a unique fast food place with great shakes and about 10 flavors of them. This one is also set up as a 50s/60s place. I know this means a bit of a drive for most, so if that is not what you want to do then suggest another place. Below is a link to the place and its address and a few photos. Take I90 to I39 then to Route 20 (like you are heading to Freeport) and exit at Alpine (first exit after the I39 cut off) and head north about 1/4 mile. It is on the west side of Alpine. Technically, none of the 1st Thursday gatherings have ever actually been “Meetings” per say. They are mostly just a monthly gathering of a few of the same core members for quick dinner and some conversation - which is really essential for a club to exist.
Unfortunately, on a weekday, the Rockford gathering location would be difficult to attend for me. Drive safe… We are Looking forward to seeing all the registered "WCCC Members" at the club picnic in two weeks... And I'm hoping for good weather too.... |
If someone can bring a laptop capable of playing MP4 video, then I will play one from my trip to Road America.

We had a total of 4 Cobras at the gathering. We had a good time and thanks for making the drive.
I have said that timing is everything. I was crossing over I20 as 3 Cobras were on the exit, what timing that was. Lee |
