Meadowdale Car Show Sept. 20 This is the car show at the Meadowdale Racetrack, now known as Raceway Woods in Carpentersville, IL. Past years have brought an original 427 and many AC 289s. Last year WCCC had 5 vehicles present and had lots of fun. I will bring the pop-up tent for shade, bring a chair and snacks. This event is rain or shine,10am - 3pm. www.mirpa.org for more info and to register. |

Let's get a bunch of people for this one! I'm involved with the Meadowdale group and can get a spot reserved for the club. Arno |

As long as you promise to not polish your car and will keep the hood locked down during the show. Watching people try not to drool on yours gets boring! ;-) Although if you win an award can I be your wing-gal on the congratulatory drive lap? :-) |

So who's coming? I talked to some of the organizers tonight and they said they'll make a cobra area for us if we want, just need to know an approximate number. |
|
"I'll be dare!" Where is that old gang that started this get-together, to get the WCCC involved? We easily had 8 to 10 cars there for several years. :) Does Blas still own his Cobra? Ralph:MECOOL: |
|
We've averaged about 6 cars there in previous years. I'd let them know to expect 7 to give us some extra elbow room. |
|
Yeah, yeah, yeah.... I'm around. And I'll be there..... Pick on Sid now Ralph.... |
|
YESSS!!! Welcome back Blas, we missed you!:3DSMILE: OK, now let's pick on Sid, Rich, Marty, Arcy, and the rest of you who used to attend various meets at a split second notice. Remember how much of a blast it used to be? Let's do it again!:D Ralph:MECOOL: |

 I'm going! |
|
Cobra will be in the shop. Enjoy. Lee |

I've never attended; how many cars are on display? |

There's a least a couple hundred cars on display. Plus some of the original racecars and drivers are there. And it's always fun to walk the old race course and think about what it would have been like to drive there. |

Forecast looks good with a high around 81 and chance of rain after the show ends. Let's do breakfast @ 8:30 before heading in to the show! Please let me know if you're planning on being at breakfast, because I'll need an accurate head count!!! Baker Hill Pancake House 1279 Dundee Ave, Elgin (just south of I-90) Breakfast Menu Another couple from way-out west (and soon to be new club members!) will be joining us as well. |
|
I'll be there for breakfast. |

Count me in for breakfast. Hal |
