Lake Geneva Area Lunch 30th or 31st August
Remember the good cruises we had in the past to lower Wisconsin? And how many Cobras showed up for the lunches near Lake Geneva?
I propose we have another one the last weekend in August, Saturday or Sunday. As always weather dependent.
There was a great place we all gathered several times in Fontana. Does anyone remember the name of the place?
We have several Cobras and a few other interesting cars already lined up.
So, take a day out of your busy schedule and have a fun get-together again!
Let's have a show of hands who would be interested in this ride.
Ralph

Let's get a list of who prefers Sat or Sun, or could do both, and we will see how the weather goes.
Thanks for making this post Ralph.

After discussion with Ralph we agreed the destination will be Lake House Tap & Grill at N2062 S Lake Shore Dr, Lake Geneva, WI 53147.
I am working on a route and will post more later. I will also send out a email to all members with the same information. However all are welcome to join us.
The date is Aug 30 with a rain date of Aug 31. We know this is a holiday weekend, but we are running out of weekends to do any trips.
Lee and Ralph
I am also working on another trip so please reserve Sept 13 for that one.

Ralph, my hand is up. Got the car back from the shop few days ago and it actually runs pretty good now. Unbelievable for RocknRoll Automotive!

Arnaud was actually the instigator of this trip, he is meeting a buddy from Milwaukee and wanted to know if I was interested in going. I told him I would look for a restaurant and invite members from our club, in essence I highjacked his idea.

Haha, no worries at all Ralph. Like I said, I appreciate you guys actually looking into things and planning stuff! Should be a fun time.
Larry, what did they do to it?
Lee, don't worry about my group, I already forwarded the plans to them, but thanks for offering.

Arnaud, the solved problems were: losing about 2 qts of oil per tank of gas; constant severe backfire/popping for all downshifting; a tiny amount of gas at any rpm below 3000 bogs the engine; if I missed the first pop in starting a cold engine, it absolutely could not be started again for about 5 hrs.
I got the car back a 6 days ago. I went back twice to find out what miracle he performed. But he is undependable and shows up for work randomly; they didn't know where is was. Can't wait to find out what he did!

We also have several that said yes via email. We are at 10 or maybe 11 cars right now. However the weather is a concern. I will make a call Friday, so watch your emails and this site.

Absolutely! We are planning on being at the restaurant for noon. A weather call is supposed to be made on Friday but I'm going regardless unless it will rain the whole time. Hopefully we can pick our way between the storms

We're going up to Faire on Sunday (it's the last weekend) to say farewell (for now) to all our out-of-state friends and I'm working Monday afternoon (no rest for the wicked massage therapists). Saturday we should be working on one house or the other, but I'll see if I can escape for the day.
