New Member in the house!
Hello Everyone - Just took delivery of my new FFR Mark IV, its been 7 months in the making but finally arrived. Still need to get it registered/Inspected but looking forward to meeting fellow Cobra enthusiast. Live in the Western Burbs (Aurora) and trying to get feel for how active this club is in the area, meetups etc..........

Watch here for activities of the Windy City Cobra Club.
Mostly, it's an e-mail group with various activities in season. I'm out of Downers, welcome to the madness. Any area car shows you frequent on the hot summer nights ? |
Welcome to the madness! As far as activities, it depends on your interest. Hopefully there are more cruises and car shows this year, but those are member initiated as opposed to a formal pre-set schedule issued by the club (excluding summer picnic and post holiday season get together). Some folks will attend the London (Ohio) cobra show if you want to go on a significant maiden voyage in June. Others like myself run track days/autocross - but that is dependent of when tracks are booked and if you buy a slot.
I'd suggest getting your email address to one of the directors so you can get copied on any email threads since not everyone uses the club cobra site like we use to. I think Kate has the member email list now, hopefully she'll see this. There are several FFR's in the group including my MK II. Look forward to meeting you this year. tim |
Welcome to the fun zone! I'm in Woodstock, but Aurora is only a little drive away! My brother lives at Ella and Ogden so I get down there often. I'd like to check your car out some time!

Welcome Pithoaf to organized chaos !
I live on the South side near the equator ( I-80). Warmer weather is coming and the Snakes are starting to come out of hibernation. You can plan an Event on this sight and some of us will show up; Gives us an excuse to go for a ride ! Looking forward to meeting You. |
Welcome aboard Pithoaf,
I'm in the North West Suburban area. Look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event or local car show. Check the Club Cobra website for club events. |
Welcome home, take your shoes off at the door and no spilling beer on the carpet.
Sit back and tell us about your adventure - with all the details. :D: |
I'd love to see your car, too! I'm in Wheaton and my FFR Mark IV is still a work in progress. I'm always looking for like-minded folks to talk with!

Hi Mike!
I'm out in Plano, so not too far. There's a great cruise night at the Johnny K's in Sandwich on alt Tuesdays in the summer. There's 2 cobras that go regularly. I'm sending you a PM too. |
