First weekend of May (6&7)
Happy May everyone!
Last weekend was cold and rainy, but next weekend looks much better so far. The car season is starting off with a bang so I'm putting up a poll to see what more of the group wants to do. The first Supercar Saturday is at the Bolingbrook Promenade and is usually a fun morning of looking at great cars. Parking opens at 8 and I've seen people leave as early as 10 or 10:30, so it's better to be there early. There are some good places to grab a bite to eat or get that second cup of coffee. Afterwards, we can take a drive down along the Illinois and Fox Rivers before stopping for lunch or ice cream at Foxy's along the Fox River in Yorkville. Or on Sunday, we can gather for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel just north of I-55 and Weber Road and then take a drive along the rivers to Foxy's. Currently, the Saturday forecast does have a chance of rain, Sunday doesn't. But that can change... |
OK! We only have 1 for Saturday and 1 and a maybe for Sunday. I tried to test drive my route down and around Starved Rock and ran into a bridge out and a gravel road. So it still needs more work. I'm registered for Supercar Saturday, so I'll meet Chris there and we'll hold the cruise to Starved Rock and Foxy's until next month.
