WCCC Blackhawk Farms Time Trials
JUNE 27, 2003

In conjunction with the The Chicago Alfa Romeo Owners Club, WCCC members are invited to participate in this year’s Blackhawk Farms CAROC Time Trial event on Friday, June 27th. Blackhawk Farms is just north of Rockford in South Beloit, Illinois. www.blackhawkfarms.com

Stretch the weekend and join us at Blackhawk for lots of motor sports fun.

Registration and Tech inspection will begin at 7:30 am. We will be sending out the first practice group at 9:15 am. The format will be open practices by class followed by timed runs. Touring will be at noon and will run for one hour. There will be timed runs all afternoon with the possibility of another touring session at the end of the day. The timed format will be: One warm up lap, two full timed laps, with a half lap cool down. This is done in solo fashion (no traffic, not wheel to wheel, no passing).

On track activities will wrap up at 5:00 pm. Cost is $190.

This is a fairly relaxed event. Don't worry about roll bar heights, etc. Just bring a helmet, long sleeve shirt, and long pants and you'll be good.

A registration form is attached and more details are at www.caroc.com/blackhawk.html

This should be a great event. If you have any questions, email WCCC Road Race Chair, Scott Johnson, at scottj@mc.net.

Is this open to the public, or just wccc members?

I'd like to come out and drool all over my shirt, if that's ok.

My 4 yr old would like to see them too, since daddy's startin' his own!

If your bringing your 4 year old, let me know. I might take the day off and spectate as well, and was thinking of bringing my 4 year old.

I think we'll make it. The kid's got swimming until 12:30, but we live within earshot of the track. I'll have to come down with some ailement (cough, cough) just about lunchtime that Friday.

It's nice to sit back on a summer night, listening to the engines, dreaming I'm in the car... Just loud enough to hear, but not annoy - and we live about 5 miles away.
