everret morrison
anyone know anything about everret morrison?
did they go out of business? i'm looking for information on their front suspensions what year mustang are they based on? does anyone make upgrade kits for them? |
I think they may be back in business. Your best bet is to try to reach them in Florida.
My EM uses a '78 Mustang II suspension in the front. Lots of parts and upgrades available. My kit was purchased in '87 Hope this helps. :) |
Hi Scott,
Early E-M frames used the stock Ford crossmember out of the Mustang II. I don't know when they made the change, but later frames used a much cleaner custom crossmember with the Mustang II geometry. One thing to watch out for is the steering shaft on the early frames. It is a custon short version of the Ford part. My frame is the early style and it came with the stock stamped control arms. I have since changed to narrowed tubular arms so that the wheels would fit under the fenders, and I've got a set of Carrera coilovers on my Christmas list :)...... Pick up a copy of "Hot Rodder" magazine and you will find more upgrade parts for the MII than you will ever need! Good Luck, Jon |
For any detailed questions on EM call Fred Gimbel at Autovision.
717-382-4312. Fred has been building EM's for years and can supply anything from a complete car to individual parts. Larry:) |
Got a letter from my buddy Brett over there this past week indicating some plans for their comeback. I have some contact information if you are still interested. I also have the manuals that cover all 3 suspensions they offered: Vette, Jag and Mustang. I went with the Vette and swapped in some coil-overs. At some point, I heard of some clearance issues with the BB engines and with this monster I didn't want to take chances. Also had a 9 quart Aviaid road race pan made for the 528 to save about an inch under there.
Anyway, I hope they come back... as you can see I'm missing an important part of my car: http://www.mtdesign.com/cobra/images/603_01.jpg http://www.mtdesign.com/cobra/images/603_02.jpg http://www.mtdesign.com/cobra/images/603_03.jpg Hope all is well with you guys in the club, I'm sure I'll make it to a meeting soon. I think they are close to re-opening the doors. There is some info on the other forum - but it's down at the moment for maintance and upgrades. Drop by there and do a search. There is an event soon at which 6 manufacturers will be present and it's hoped that E-M will be the seventh with their new generation car - if they get it ready in time.
Hope this helps |
Hey Mark,
You're probably aware of this already, but Fred Gimbel at Autovision can most likely fix you up with a body and any other E-M parts you require :) larryar's message above gives the contact info. Regards, Tom |
Didn't BT Snake have an EM with a MIDSTATES body? You could contact Bob Kallio about that. If your in a hurry to get a body. Hope to see you at a meeting soon. I think we have more Non ford motors then any other club out there!
