Oil pan question

Could someone point me in a good direction for an oil pan, my car has a run of the mill chrome pan on it and when I drive it the various dips and bumps are catching the drain plug, what is the best way to go and hopefully gain a couple of inches of clearance???:) Oh, it's a 351w:3DSMILE:

I just bought a "Canton" low profile "more capacity" (8qts.) $225. Rather than the deep sump, it's extended outwards. I'm very happy with it so far. Another one but, more expensive is by, Aviad (spelling)? Call George Anderson at Gessford machine or look at his web-site. Both of these pan companys sell the Road Racing version also with baffles & doors but are around $75-$150 extra. Tony Branda at cobranda.com has a great looking alum. extra capacity pan that has COBRA on each side for around $325 If I wanted to spend the money, that's what I would buy...just looks cool !

Low profile oil pans are one option (and not that expensive)

The alternative would be going for a drysump system (thatīs what I did) and I must say I have only made best experiences with it.

In case this might be of interest to you too: Check www.drysump.com

Gary at ARE is extremly helpful and co-operative and the parts he supplied to me where outstandingly good.

Gordon,

I have a Canton on mine and the baffeling, low profile, and extra capacity is great. I highly recommend the Canton.
