WCCC Poker Run - May 23, 2004 - Reply requested!
 

WCCC Members,
While we are still several weeks away from our May 23rd Poker Run event, I need for everyone who plans to attend to pre-register so to speak so I can better negotiate our rates with vendors I have chosen to supply us with some entertainment for the day. Obviously the more participants we have, the less expensive the day will be for all of us and undoubtedly, the more fun we all will have.
Right now, I plan on starting at 9:30am in the Long Grove, Il area, same as last year. We will be making three scheduled stops where participants, based on your performance, can earn extra cards at selected venues throughout the day in hopes of improving your hand and taking home the pot.
Round trip for the Poker Run starting in Long Grove will be about 120 miles, a tank of gas for some of us. We should be concluding around 4:00pm with a cookout at my house in Kildeer lasting until whenever.
The total cost for you and your guest for the day will probably be around $60 which will include a donation to the days poker pot if you elect to participate and all costs for event participation. I realize this is more expensive than last years event but the price of fun has gone up, along with the price of gas. The dinner for you and your guest is on me! Don't expect toooo much but you won't leave hungry or thirsty!! We had a great time last year and I expect this years event to be even better!
I need for you to confirm your participation by Wednesday, April 21st and whether you are bringing a guest for the day. Spouse or girlfriends are highly recommended!!

May I be the first one to reserve a spot? My wife and I will attend. Since I was first, will you just mail me a royal flush, or should I bring my own?:LOL:

I plan to run the poker run if I still haven't sold my cobra by then. It will be a day to day situation. At the moment, count me in for two. I'll let you know if I am without wheels.
