Yea - I could easily be talked into driving someplace, however, you do need to remember I am from the city & have no idea where the individual suburbs are in relation to each other. While, I truly mean no disrespect, where the heck is Rolling Meadows? The bigger question is - will it rain tonight? If it looks like rain I will be a no show. In the meantime I will do a MapQuest seach. I'll send you an e-mail this afternoon Rich Musson |
Rich,
Rolling Meadows is just north of Schaumburg, Woodfield shopping mall area. If you headed north on route 53 you would get off at Kirchoff going east. It is at the Dominicks parking lot, 2855 Kirchoff Rd Rolling Meadows, IL 60008-1869. Who knows about the weather? It seems to change by the hour. Maybe Mother Nature will cooperate. Mark |
Mark,
I’ve attended the Rolling Meadows cruise night several times and it’s a great show. One caveat, be early for a parking spot. Weather permitting I’ll take my Superformance Cobra; maybe I’ll see you there tonight. Frank |
Hey Rich if you want to go let me know if you are going.
we can hook up and go together weather permitting. |
As of 2:00pm, it is raining here in Elk Grove Village which is only maybe 5 miles south from Rolling Meadows. And I am told it is raining up in Lake Zurich which is north of Rolling Meadows. This sucks!:( It better not rain on Sunday for the Poker Run.

Yea - I was in Naperville the left about 1:45 and managed to beat the rain home. Now I am in the city, it's about 3:00pm and The rain has already stopped. So, lets not give up hope completely.
Arcenio, I'll check the rain maps in about an hour and we can decide. Rich |

Hi everyone,
The weather was clearing late Friday afternoon and I “rolled the dice” to attend last night’s Rolling Meadows show. My wife and I were only there from 6:00 until 730PM and the show was smaller than I anticipated. (Perhaps the threat of rain kept people away?) But we did see some really awesome cars! One of my favorites was a 1960 FIAT, several 1964 Ford Galaxie convertibles and a drop-dead gorgeous 1956 two door Chevy Bel Aire hardtop. The cars ranged from the late 30’s, included several new Vets and a Viper. We met a lot of people, talked about cars in detail, and received several invitations to attend local car shows. Perhaps we can meet and attend this week’s show. E-mail me and let me know. If any one is interested the show dates are: Sunday, July 25th Mannheim and North (Melrose Crossing Shopping Center) Gold Strike Bingo Car Show and Fundraiser. $100 for Best of Show, $50 best Chevy, $50 best Ford, Lincoln or Mercury, $50 best Olds, Buck or Pontiac and $50 best Mopar. $12.00 entrant fee (tax deductible). FMI…call Ron at (773)-616-3404. Saturday, August 7th Brewster Creek Center Route 59 and Stearns Road Bartlett, IL. This is a cruise through downtown Bartlett, trophies in all classes plus a people’s choice award. $10 entrant fee. FMI…call George (630)-837-4201 or the Chamber of Commerce (630)-830-0324. Hope to see everyone next week at Rolling Meadows, Frank |
