For those that will be rolling out Thursday morning for London, is there a meeting place and time for caravaning leaving Illinois and a chosen route mapped out yet? I will be picking up my rental trailer on Tuesday and may have some extra room in the back of my truck for those driving their snakes. Let me know.

Keith

We need some prayers to the weather gods!!! Thursday and Friday look great!! Saturday and Sunday are showing on the map as isolated thunderstorms. Now, those of us in Chicago who have followed the weather report for the last 3 weeks know that could mean a 5 minute downpour with some lightning and then sunny skies, so lets hope that is the case.

Pretty typical summer pattern. If it rains it is usually in the late afternoon/evening. Around here 30% chance doesn't even phase me!

Awwwh Heck!!...don't let a little rain bother you. It's not so bad if you drill a few 1/4" holes in the foot boxes. This lets the water drain so your feetsies stay dry!

MidOHasp 06-21-2005 08:26 AM

The Weather Channel is required by law to put a minimum of a 20% chance of precip every day of summer in Ohio. There is always a chance, even when the High-Pressure, 31" of mercury, isobars are 300 miles apart Gods are smiling upon us.

I just made that up, but . . . seriously . . . So far, for the month of June, there has yet to be a day the Weather Channel (dot com) said 0% chance of T-storms, and we've had a remarkably dry June. I think it has actually rained for more than a few minutes 3-4 days, and that is in CLEVELAND! It rains half as much in Columbus. Half as much still in London.

:)

It is supposed to rain like hell in Elyria. Just kidding.... ;) I've probably jinxed us!

rdorman 06-21-2005 08:45 AM

In Columbus, it has been so dry and so nice! The weather of recent has been perfect (knock on wood). I have even had to start watering the lawn it has been so dry.

anyone taking bets this year?

I've got 10 bucks that says Justin will leave his clutch laying all over main street while doing non-stop burn-outs this weekend:LOL:

Oh!

.....sooooo that's what "CF" stands for!

MidOHasp 06-21-2005 10:14 AM

You guys taking bets on whether or not my clutch makes it . . . could the winners donate half their proceeds to me trailering the car home? :)

In actuality, the clutch feels more solid than it did LAST YEAR BEFORE THE FLING. Slips a bit in 4th gear, so I probably won't be able to do the dyno ( ) but 2nd gear SEEMS to hold up OK, as does 3rd.

I just don't want to kill it before autoX. I've never done autoX before and am pretty giddy thinking about it. Even got myself a new helmet last night. :)

MidOHasp 06-21-2005 10:21 AM

Actually, Rick...

I decided not to replace a clutch that is working relatively well. Jamo had a great point... why do 25 1/8 mile runs in London on a brand new clutch?!!?

So this is the same dinky Ford Racing clutch that has last year's Fling on it as well as a lot of other hard driving.

We'll see how it goes!! :)

Rob,

First-- Justin can't drive stick shift --
Second -- That's a C4 in that Superformance -- he just acts like he shifts it--

Justin, we laughing WITH you....not at you.

JP is my tequila connection. I have nothing but nice things to say:D

Jamo is right. Put in a new clutch and then abuse the crud out of it:JEKYLHYDE

Rick

MidOHasp 06-21-2005 01:19 PM

Wait...

Is Jamo right? Or Should I put a new clutch in and then abuse the crud out of it?

He said NOT to put in a new clutch just to abuse the crud out of it! :)

Braatz... no tequila for you, Mr. Heartburn! I still have an incriminating picture somewhere of an empty chair with a full beer in front of it... somebody retired early!! ;)
