First Drive of the Season
Hi everyone,
I fired up my car this afternoon and took it a short drive to shake out the cobwebs in anticipation of tomorrow’s CIR meeting and cruise. While East bound on the Elgin O’Hare Expressway, a West bound state trooper, in an unmarked car, did a 180, pulled up behind and followed me until RT. 355. But I wasn’t speeding, he was cool and we both smiled. Then while West bound on RT 19, one of Schaumburg finest followed me all the way home! Life is good!! Guys, it’s going to be a great driving season. See everyone tomorrow. Badman |
Out-running a trouper would have been good practice for you for tomorrow at CIR and the drag strip in May....Perhaps the one finger salute and 300' of rubber the next time your see one... I think the "fox and hound event" tomorrow...oops

Badman,
I know what you mean – I got the car out last Sunday for the S&E. Needed to burn up that tank of cheap gas & replace it with some of the expensive stuff. Anyway, I almost forget how much I like driving the Cobra. All week long at work I had a smile on my face. I agree with what you say, ‘It’s going to be a great driving season’. See you tomorrow, Rich |
Guys,
Finished up the car this afternoon and made the Plainfield to Yorkville to Morris to Channahon and back home loop. Used up the old gas and filled up with the hi test - hi dollar gas. Car ran great and it sure felt good to be back behind the wheel. Blas, is the pre race lunch still on for tommorrow? Ron |
Yes, your buying.............
