LATE NEWS - Rally to and around the track
For the members who did not attend last Friday evening's Racing School here is the latest scoop: Saturday, March 11... Rally to Blackhawk where we can walk and drive (slowly) the road racing course used for North Suburban/ Midwestern Council races. Instructors will be on hand to provide tips that will put you ahead of the game when the race season starts. (Requires advance sign-up.You can sign up at next Friday evening's school session, March 10.) According to the instructors your daily drivers may be used and speeds will not exceed 35 mph on the track. Join NSSCC ?
So, after taking the Friday night Racing Schools is anyone thinking about joining the NSSCC to get some Auto Cross laps in at Blackhawk? Chris, for sure I thought you'd be the first one to sign up.:3DSMILE:
There is a 87 BMW 325E car right down the street from me that is set up for roadracing. It has a full rollcage and beefed up suspension among other things. He has a price of $2200. ( yes, two thousand two hundred bucks) on the windshield. I'd go in partnership with someone that has garage space to store and work on it. I figure that would be a cheap way to get into AX without breaking a Cobra. Any takers? Ralph :MECOOL: |
