How about a snake and eggs? Saturday 4/15/06?

Saturday is being forecast to be favorable..............???
Saturday (24 hours): Times of sun and clouds. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid 50s.
As long as the weather Gods permit, how bout a snake and eggs at
The Rose restaurant? say about 8:00ish???
I'll even try talking them into giving us our own section?

Located on the south east corner of Arlington Heights Rd and Higgins (Rte 72)
They have a huge Parking lot
Off of 90 exit at Arlington Heights Rd. go south.
Off of 53 exit at Higgins go east past the forest preserve.

They have a huge Parking lot.
Respond to this thread so I know a round about number.
Thanks
Arcy

Snake Oil,

Thanks for the invitation but this Saturday my brothers and I have previously scheduled our monthly family breakfast. Maybe next time.

Have fun and be safe,

I can't make it. I'll be on the race track at that time. (In the green car not the blue.)

BUT! If you're looking for a nice country (or tollway) ride...

I'll be at Blackhawk Farms Raceway with N.A.S.A. -National Auto Sports Association.

Come watch, you might be able to volunteer to help. There is lunch time "Parade Laps" scheduled. (No helmet required - must sign up.) (Sometimes it can get cancelled. If there are delays or other problems.) OR You can probably still enter the HPDE / Driving school, the "day of." (Current approved helmet and roll bar above your head... required.)

What you'll see... Driver's school / HPDE (High Performance Driving Event) Time Trial competition. And wheel to wheel driver's school - all on the track.

Come find me... If not have a great S & E and holiday!

Hey, Dave, the website says the track is HOT at 8:00 am. Question is, do they open the entrance across the track at timed intervals? I was there years ago and couldn't get in at all after the racing started.
They must open the gate in between functions, correct?

I'll be dare! And afterwards maybe go to Blackhawk if the weather gods are good to us.

Entering Blackhawk:

After 8am they'll open the track crossing briefly between each group or event. Roughly every 20 minutes. If the gate is closed when you arrive simply pull over to the side of the road. Park. And go out and watch the action for a few minutes. As the track starts to quiet down, get back to your car and they'll let you through.

Come on out and enjoy the day and the action!

Oh, by the way I was sitting on my front porch about 9pm last night and I saw a cobra go by. I on palatine headed east, he caught the light at schoembeck road. Just wondering if it was any of the gang.
