Who's the screw-meister?
I'm trying to get the windshield ready for install and I need to find a local source for 8 stainless oval machine screws, 5/16" length, 10/32 threads. None of the local hardware stores I've visited have them. I can get 100 from McMaster Carr (minimum qty.) but I only need 8. Anybody know a source I can walk in and buy? If not, I'll probably be a source for 92 screws in the future.
By the way, great picnic last week, still haven't found an appropriate place for THE CLOCK. tim |
Not local to you but try www.boltdepot.com and you can order any quantity you want for reasonable prices.

check out www.southcoaststainless.com. They sell all type of stainless steel screws and fasteners and you can order them also fully polished.

Try Zimmer Hardware - 847.358-3540 , 16 N. Brockway Street, Palatine. - What a hardware store SHOULD be...

Tim,
Rather than hardware stores, check for local fastener supply houses that cater to industry. They have stuff that hardware stores have never even heard of, and most will be happy to sell you a few pieces of whatever they carry. In a city the size of Chicago, there should be tons of them closeby. Good luck! Cheers! Dave |
