WCCC Engine Pulling Get Together Saturday Afternoon

If anybody is interested in lending a hand. I'm going to be pulling my engine out of 'Ol SPF 1454 on Saturday afternoon around 3:30 pm. I'll supply the beverages and snacks (the way to any cobra guys heart) if anybody is able to give me a hand and moral support.

Goal of the day is to get the engine and tranny pulled out. Then I will probably disassemble it in the following day or so (the engine is halfway apart in the car currently). I'll be picking up the engine hoist from Mike M. later today (thanks Mike).

By the way, I moved recently for those of you who were just going to show up at my old house.

I now live in Huntley (just minutes off of I-90).

Thanks and let me know who plans on coming by,

Sounds like fun. I don't know for sure yet but I'll try to work it into the schedule for the weekend. I'll have to let you know a little later. Send me a PM with your new address.

Chris,

I would love to help out, but I'm stuck in an all-day review class in Naperville on Saturday.

Chris did you get your motor pulled? I just read your post and would of helped -- did not do a thing but stay warm today.

Hey Al, we did get it out. Had many hands here to help.

Thanks to all on a successful extraction. Hopefully it goes in easier than it came out.

Thanks Rich S, Sid, Warren, Frank, Marty, Bob, Ralphie, Jeff, and the Sears repair guy.

Lots of cleaning and parts organizing to do now.

Oh the fun.

Thanks to all.

And Mike M. for the hoist.

Aw, Dammit...

This was the first time I saw this post. I was in Elburn yesterday anyway, to pick my daughter up at the train station and would have been glad to help out.

Maybe for the installation party...

If you were in Elburn at the train station you could of said Hello to Corey and Me as the train station is at the back of our lot!!!
I was doing some electrical work as we are moving some machines to install more lifts and a front (actually 4 wheel) end alignment rack.
Maybe we could of tried out Warren's heater!!!!(sorry Warren)

Jerry,

I'll get an exact location from you at the party and maybe I can stop by next time I'm in Elburn.

Actually, I've probably driven right by your place looking for a way into the train station from downtown. I couldn't believe they would make me drive all the way out of Elburn, out to 47 and down to Keslinger Rd. and then way east just to get to the station, so I drove all around the area north of the tracks one evening looking for another way in. Looks like they're getting ready to put in another road, though.

See you folks next Saturday.

Motor removal

 Chris, sorry I couldn,t make it: but I was well trained at my brothers salvage yard ; I would have it out in less than ten min. All I would need is a end loader , a chain and a torch.
