Rescheduled to July 1 - Volo's Shelby-Ford-Cobra Show
Due to the weather forecast, the Shelby-Ford-Cobra Show scheduled for June 3 has been postponed until July 1.
It now will be in conjunction with the George Barris Show, which should be a blast. As a registrant in the Shelby-Ford-Cobra Show, we extend to you an invitation to shift your registration to the July 1 show at no charge (normal registration fee for the Barris show will be $10). Please let us know as soon as possible whether we will enjoy your participation on July 1. Should you have questions, call (815) 385-3644. Thank you. Cyndi Wyss Director, Volo Auto Museum |
Missed Snake and Eggs...doing it again on July1?

The rescheduled Volo car show is next Sunday
Just a reminder...
The rescheduled Volo car show is next Sunday, and so is the Snake&Eggs before it....You will get a club email Monday on the breakfast and further info on the show will be posted here next week...So get the bugs off your car from the London trip and we'll see you there..... |
7:00 on Sunday is a little early for me.
George Thorogood is at Ribfest on Saturday Night in Naperville so I will probably miss the Snake and Eggs. What time is everyone heading out so I can try and join the caravan?

George Thorogood.......
Wasn't he the guy that sailed a boat made of reeds and twigs across the ocean....and found the fountain of youth or something.....hahahaha:CRY: |
Looks like the weather will be perfect on Sunday!
The Snake & Eggs starts at 7:00AM - Right??? When will we be leaving for Volo in case i have trouble rolling out of bed Sunday morning? Murph |
Not much of a ride from Snake N Eggs to Volo (very close by.) Anyone interested in caravaning to the restaurant? We'll be coming from the city. Probably up 90 to 53 to 12...

Great Event, good breakfast, and a beautiful day....
I think the WCCC had 28 cars from the club at Volo today. Good to see so many of our new members and their cars show up too.... And as for John Spina... What can you say about a guy who lets a fellow club member who's car is not running, use his second Cobra to attend todays event.... John's got my vote for WCCC President.... |
Here's one for ya. 356 miles on 21.0 gallons of gas. That included alot of city driving, too. Not too bad for an old 557 BB Ford. That's 16.95 mpg.

Tried to attend Volo but got caught in the 8 mile back up on the 94 at 8:45 this morning. It took me 60 minutes to go 1 mile and the 427 over heated and the starter solenoid burned up.
Took AAA 2 hours to get to me. All for a load of spilled dirt. Not my day. |
Man, I'm really sorry to hear the bad news. I would have pulled my hair out in that sitiuation and used very bad word I know.
