Former WCCC Member MIA

I think a lot of you know John Spira.

John was a charter member of WCCC, very colorful, and also very active for a few years, winning our first ever poker run in his big block SPF.

John is apparently missing. Check out www.johnspira.com
He's been gone since February of this year.

Here's a pic of John and his car Arcenio took a while back:

I believe John sold that car.

John Spira

Chuck,

Actually I was the one that took that picture, I believe it was at a poker run.
I was trying to connect some WCCC members faces with their cars.

I did actually hear about John missing on the radio some time ago and even commented to my wife about it, but I thought it was just a coincidence that someone had the same name as he did.

We are all sorry to hear about this, as John for the few encounters at club functions I have known him always seemed like a great guy.
We hope the search turns out well and we wish the best to his family.

Isn't it kinda strange that on the webpage created by his "friends" they are offering a $10,000 reward for "his remains" as they say he was "clearly a victim of foul play"...
Even the police reports don't tell of any GIANT indicators of "foul play"...
Hmmm...
Also, I notice he was single and says very bluntly "I DON'T WANT ANY KIDS!" on his MySpace page.....
Did they ever find his car he was driving that night? What kind of car was he driving that night (did he get car-jacked for it and then "offed"?
They said his cellphone continued to "ping" until 11:00pm that night on a
couple of local cell towers (after he made a call to his "dinner friend" earlier
in the evening he disappeared). I assume they searched those areas as this is how the authorities found that 18 year old girls body in Kansas yesterday...
Was his dinner friend that night a guy or gal?
Did he have a life insurance policy with his "friend" as the beneficiary?

Veeeeerrrry Innnnnterrresstinggggg...
I feel for the family and hopefully they will find him alive, SOMEWHERE!

Pat, you have to re-read some of the blogs, I know some are confusing. The one you mentioned, about being single and not wanting any kids, is NOT the missing person, but the writer of that particular blurb. If you read more of the links and comments, you'll see that he was going through divorce. His car was found at his shop, and apperantly was not moved.
It also states that his "soon-to-be ex-wife" has never participated in any of the candle-light meetings or in none of the organized searches in which hundreds of friends, neighbors and strangers participated.

Sorry I confused SnakeOil and GotSnake...

Pat, John's phone signal was last pinging in a wooded area by his shop. They searched the area. That's all that is really known....We can't really speculate on the other stuff, I assume the police are doing their best. Maybe he'll turn up.
