Alright folks.

Tomorrow morning starts the little adventure. Don't forget.

Looks like the weather may hold out. If not, you don't have plans anyways. Bring the daily driver if you're not going to tough it out.

:D

DAILY DRIVERS! Hey, Wolfie, how do you say "Pu$$y" in German again? I should remember, that's what you call me every time you see me!
DAILY DRIVERS! What next? RUBBERS every time it sprinkles? %/
All the guys who drove through Indianapolis coming back from London last month received their SCUBA license!

Hey! I'm in Woodstock, which way should I go?Iknow where Culver's is,Where do we meet in McHenry?

jeffko 08-17-2007 08:05 PM

We are leaving from the McDonalds at routes 45 & 120 at 8am. There is also a Good Guys car show tomorrow in Madison about 15 minutes from the QSL that I just found out about. Looking at the radar map in the morning

galla4 08-18-2007 04:13 AM

What an ugly radar weather map. This looks like Indy II - just might tape the doors up before hand, or go to plan B.

It looks like there is nothing behind it and will pass by in a couple hours. I'm thinking later start.

OK, I give! Plan "B" seems like a real good idea! What was plan "B" again?

galla4 08-18-2007 06:00 AM

My plan B - go as far toward Madison as possible until a snorkle is required and then high tail it back before I fill up with water, again.

Raining in Schaumburg...

Lowell W 08-18-2007 07:06 AM

Raining in Sterling, 60% chance of rain and/or thunderstorms, radar weather looks bad for a freakin' week.

See you guys another time.

Lowell

galla4 08-18-2007 08:32 AM

Peg and I made it out Elgin and the rain came, OK until it started leaking thru the doors & down on the leg. We packed it in, and scooted back home. Of course haven't seen anymore rain... but the radar map looks UGLY!

I drove my Van out to Culver's at 8:45am to find a few members standing around, but nobody showed up in Cobras. Looks like the weather will not improve for at least a week.

Safely home with no rain all the way back except about 5 miles from home. We really had a great ride until the rain started. I wil save the map and we will have to try it agian later. Good to see such a crowd show up at QSL even with most people (south & west siders  ) driving their daily drivers. It is not always the cars that keep us together. %/

Badman 08-18-2007 05:07 PM

Jeff,

I’m glad to hear that you and all the North Side cobra drivers have made it home safely from today’s QSL event. It was a good WCCC outing, except for the intermittent rain showers and unusually cool August weather, and can’t wait to drive those county back roads again with our cars. So how about a poker run ending at the QSL?

Steno 08-19-2007 06:40 AM

What a day!Good times and good company. Not to mention a great way to find out where I need to put my weatherstripping.Made it within 1 mile of home and the sky opened up.Drying out the car, so I can get out and do it again!
Sten
