British Union Car Show - Sept. 7

Folks: Another September event is the British Union Car Show this Sunday (09/7) at Moraine Valley Community College. For details including directions see the website: http://www.britishcarunion.com/ . It starts at 9A and runs to 4P.

A handful of us went last year and there were really a lot of neat cars ( I liked the TVR's). There were actually two Cobras that were built in the UK since Shelby quit building them in the '60's. As we found out we could drive our Cobras and park them together back by the event registration (even though they don't qualify for showing) so they are out of the general parking lot.

One thought is to meet at the car show, mill around for a couple of hours and weather permitting, have a picnic in the forest preserve just west of the college campus. Or, if someone knows a local eatery we can give it a try.

If anyone is interested let Blas and I know. Thanks.

zero response = zero interest, so I guess this event is off the slate. Weather might be a little iffy anyway.

Tim, I believe Blas used to make this show regularly.
