Here is a more specific link....

FYI...It should be noted that the motor was custom designed and built by Russ at LAM Engines in Kenosha, Wi. He also rebuilt Chris Damsch's motor and did the balancing and block machining of my motor.

Congrats Barb and Buddy. I'd pat you on the back if I could catch up to you.

Default New Guy Doing Research

Since I live in the southern Wisconsin area I have been talking to LAM engines about a build. When I saw Chris Damsch mentioned I was concerned because I knew he had a lot of trouble with an engine rebuild and the builder was very unfair with him and refused to correct the problem seemingly because they were quite extensive. LAM assured me that they were not the builder in question and in fact the culprit builder was in Elburn, Il. This seems true since LAM enjoys a very good reputation from everyone I talked to. Can anyone confirm LAM actually fixed the problem build and did not cause it.

Thanks,
Joe

AC4ME,

Chris had a cylinder wall crack and had the motor rebuilt. As it turned out the motor had a detonation problem among other things. LAM rebuilt the motor again and I believe the LAM motor just pulled the car down the track at just barely over 11 seconds.

LAM does great work and I would recommend them to anyone.
