February 1959 - October 1982, then moved to Decatur, then Hartselle, and finally Bozeman MT in 2016. You may have encountered by father. He worked at various companies as a metallurgist and had metallurgical oversight authority over all NASA projects until 1977, he passed in 2003 and took a call from NASA management on his death bed asking him to help with a problem when he got well, which did not happen. My father hated Von Braun deeply but was had to work with him or find another line of work.

I was in Huntsville for three months at the Redstone Arsenal in the summer of 1962 taking training from the German rocket crew for the Saturn V effort. Was that about the time you were there?
