The net of this is that it doesn't look good for you and whatever money you've given him.

For a very short while he was one of my Facebook "friends", but there's no sign of him any longer on Facebook, and it appears his FB userid doesn't exist any longer. Here's some text from a local "car buy and sell" group on FB: "Just Want My Vehicles Back ... No Drama .. so NO COMMENTS ....I have gone the legal route, that is why it has taken so long; it has been several months that I have been messaging Ryan D J Martens to have my vehicles returned ... I have gotten promises and excuses .... some vehicles were at Garrett Small's place, as he hauled most of them, when I was in hospital. They both have admitted in messages, They both even promised to pay for the ones they sold (that didn't happen) .... "

I live just outside Regina where, of course Ryan Martens lives (or lived - don't know if he's still around). The "word on the street" is not good about Ryan - I've heard he was seeking investors, so that would lead me to believe his business is not doing well.
