I have a Contemporary that I built in 1982 originally powered with a 454 LS6 525HP and repowered with a 502 675HP with a wide box and 3.70 rear on Hoosier Quick Time tires. Had to put on an high scoop to clear the Holley dominator but the car is awesome !

Many challenges but unrelated to Chevrolet engine. Matching driveline to power, excessive heat related to rear exhausts, etc. Bruce M

I built mt Contemporary Cobra in 1982 which originally had a LS6 454 and was repowered with a 502 crate motor. I tortured myself making the power decision and figured a kit is a kit and a poor running Chevy will outrun most Fords. Bruce M.
