Hi Bill,
I saw your post about Forest Lawn "Raceway" did you lose any Pink slips there?? I grew up in Glendale and we used to race a couple of times a month for a while.... no, I didn't run for Pinks myself! It was a lot of FUN. I had to be careful my girlfriends (now my Wife) father was a Glendale Policeman, and they talk to each other (LAPD and Glendale PD) and I was in enough trouble w/o needing to be busted for Street Racing. I was there a few times and was lucky to miss a major Raid they pulled with LAPD cars blocking both ends, even though the racers had radios they got busted.
I got my drivers license in 1961, which of course was just prior to Cobras being thought of by Shelby. This all brings us back to those Good Old Days....
