i sure will if i ever see him again. john sold the biz when i worked at cardiac cobra for a year or so in a very entry level capacity and i really loved being there it was an exiting time. lots of great cars and cool customers we were doing the monster miata's as well as the cobra's with his polish welder, szpig, ( not sure if i am spelling his name correctly) ya, a real treat to know john and his wife. sweet people. and a pleasure to hear from you as well

Hi Portmax,

Although I don't have one of John's delightful cars, I have had the pleasure of briefly meeting him back in August 1999, when on my one-and-only "Big O.E". At the time from New Zealand.
I now live 'back home' in Australia.

At the beginning of my month in Canada I had four days in Vancouver.
On the last day I was finally able to track him down, & we were able to spend most of the day together.
Interestingly John's two passions; cars & bikes are similar to my eldest brother & I. Rob is 'into' cars, I'm 'into' motorcycling.
Of course we differ from John's 'exotic' tendencies, but appreciate his tastes in these two passions.

Yes we are 'distantly' related, I'm glad to say.
If you get the opportunity to be in contact with John, please give them my regards.
