the engine turned 537 on the dyno and 500 lbs of torque. I would say that it purrs like a kitten, but a more apt statement is it growls like a mountain lion. I will go on a final tune if the temperature tomorrow goes past 60 degrees. It definitely needs new tires though. I am putting on some Mickey Thompson ET II for better grip.
Supposition on my part, but I think he has grown so much that he spread his self to thin, and was just not personally involved in the project and did not check the work of his people. It was not honorable however to shove me under the rug and not address problems that were created by his employees. It cost me approximately 18,000 more to pull the engine and have a ring job done, and reinstalled and now to have it properly tuned by someone who cares. A mans warranty is only is good as his word, and in this particular case he was unwilling to honor the money I spent with him and fix the problems caused by his employees. I will say it again, Keith can build a good engine, but if he does not have a hands on policy on his installs, then I could not recomend the work of his employees to anyone.
I have never heard about lousy installs by Keith Craft. Your interior looks fantastic! good job! Motor specs are impressive as well. Hopefully in a couple of days you'll be taking that 1st ride!! Keep me posted.
Stu.
Forgive me. The Kirkhams are fastidious about their customer care and produce a quality product. I meant to say Keith of Keith Craft Engines. He makes a good engine, but HIS WORKERS DID A LOUSY INSTALL ON MY CAR. I was so proud of the Kirkham, that I did an interior like I have seen on some of the bentleys and rolls. There was nothing wrong with the interior that came in the Kirkham. Woodwork is what I do for fun. I had never done an interior on a car and thought it would be a challenging project.
Well, I did not get to take my drive Tuesday. The dyno tuning is finished though, and it shows 537 hp at the wheels and 500 torque. If the weather warms up, we will get to finish tuning while I drive. Either way, its almost done.
You could of fooled me, you sound like a gear head to me!! I didn't know Kirkhams had issues with installs, interiors etc. I hope you have a fantastic ride next Tuesday. Your gonna love it! Please respect the "go pedal" you can be in trouble in a heartbeat. Hook up with a local club in Texas. There are many Cobra owners in Texas. Let me know how your 1st ride turned out. You'll be wearing a grin for days!!
