Last fall, I did some clutch work. I took the car out and really beat it up to make sure the clutch was going to work out well. When I got home, I noticed a mark on the left side pipe where the engine had torqued over, allowing the header to contact the body.
Sure enough, the tab that's welded to the frame where the motor mount bolts up had broken. The weld failed. Not Shell Valley's fault. When I installed the engine, I had to cut that tab off and re-weld it. It was my weld that failed, not theirs. No way to get to it without pulling the motor, so I'm doing some cleanup under the hood and putting on new valve seals while the engine is out.
I'm registered for LCS. That ought to get me going on re-assembly. See you there.
