February 1959 - October 1982, then moved to Decatur, then Hartselle, and finally Bozeman MT in 2016. You may have encountered by father. He worked at various companies as a metallurgist and had metallurgical oversight authority over all NASA projects until 1977, he passed in 2003 and took a call from NASA management on his death bed asking him to help with a problem when he got well, which did not happen. My father hated Von Braun deeply but was had to work with him or find another line of work.

05-24-2022 06:07 PM - permalinkletsboogie351Tom I found this it may be helpful. Just reading it seems the company may simply be called Miami Grand Prix.
Tom Garfinkel, Managing Partner of the F1 Miami Grand Prix.
Miami Grand Prix CEO Richard Cregan
Garfinkel is president and chief executive of both the Miami Dolphins and the Hard Rock Stadium. He's also gained motorsport experience working with the Chip Ganassi team in IndyCar, though the Miami GP is his first venture into F1 affairs. -
05-23-2022 04:43 PM - permalinkletsboogie351Tom, here in Aus the F1 GP is run by the Australian Grand Prix Corporation. All contact with anything GP has to go through them (they are God). I'm sure that there will be a similar body that has been set up for the Miami race. We were given the gig for 2020 but the race was cancelled on the Friday. The President of our car Club kept in contact with the corporation to try and retain our parade status but, it was not guaranteed. It actually looked like the job might have been given to another club. I think it was only the persistence of our President remaining in contact from time to time that may have got us over the line. If you can find the body responsible for running the Miami race go for it! It was an amazing experience. Even Fernando Alonso mentioned to me how "crazy" it all was. In Brazil they loaded the drivers into the back of a high sided truck with a reporter for their parade. A bit dull and boring I think. Good luck I hope you can get the parade you will love it....Doug

Good Evening Tom:
I'm new to the site. I have a Ford factory 514 crate motor that I wish to change out the mechanical roller to to a crane hydraulic roller to make it more streetable and to run throttle body fuel injection. I understand that you are running the crane cam #359351 and roller rockers #35532-16. Did you change valve springs also? Crane recomends a 150#closed and 447# open spring. I don't know the spring pressure of the Ford springs, but suspect they are more radical. Also do you think this cam will support throttle body injection? From everything I've read, you need a minnimum of 9" of throttle vacuum to make them work properly. Any insight will help.
Thanks Dennis
