    There's a lot more to it than viscosity. The type of oil also matters....a lot. A synthetic oil will take a lot more oil temperature before breaking down than a regular mineral oil.

    If it's a Suburban with 5.3L it will struggle pulling a loaded 20x8.5 enclosed trailer on extended warm weather travel that's not flatland. Transmission cooler is highly recommended as well....
