Is the stanchion/bracket in the rear of the intake manifold extending up to the air clean actually penetrating the lower air cleaner base to keep it clocked? I have a similar issue in that if I don’t crank the carburetor bolt down the air cleaner will twist/walk while driving. The top of the air cleaner has scuffed the scoop opening in the past.
