Aloha - I just saw these messages. My office is located in Waipio Gentry. If you are
still looking for answers regarding your Cobra email me at phil@actionfire.com
I am no expert but have seen most of the different types so may be able to help.
It may well be a Contemporary if it is older - they made a very good replicar.

Hi, my name is Steve and I live in pearl city. I was wondering if you would be able to assist me with a 65 427 cobra that I bought from a friend. Would like someone's knowledgeable opinion on what it actually is. So far 3 different people gave me 3 different opinions. It has period correct engine and driveline and 4" tube frame but unable to determine who the builder may have been. Not too many guys on Oahu who even know what a cobra is. Anyway I just thought I would give you a shot. Mahalo

Hi, my name is Steve and I live in pearl city. I picked up a 65 427 cobra from a buddy of mine a couple of months back. He blew a head gasket a couple of years back and pulled the engine, with the help of some friends. He took the complete block to Teds machine shop in Honolulu and rebuilt it up to the heads. Took the block home and there it sat until I was offered to buy it from him, which I did. Long story short, I have been trying to get some info as to what it "really" is. It has a period correct 427 side oiler with cross bolt mains, top loader 4 speed and I think a ford 9 inch with axles threaded for knock offs front and rear. I have been looking for someone who may be able to give me any info. It was first registered in Arizona and carries that states serial number. Any info would really appreciated. Aloha
