What's puzzling is, that I tried another fuse in #12 and it didn't blow. Both the right front running/parking light and the left rear tail light work fine as do all the other lights.......What am I missing?...........

PS........ The owners manual also states the right front driving/parking light are on one circuit as the left rear tail light and////the left front driving/parking and right rear tail lights are on another circuit together.

Is there any relationship between the wiper switch and the right front driving/parking light and the left rear tail light?????

    Thanks, Tom

Hi Blas, Please check the wiring diagram I just bought from you. The diagram shows the right front driving/parking light and the right rear tail light on the same fuse and circuit. On my car #2769 my right front driving/parking light and left rear tail light are on the same fuse.
I had an issue with #6 fuse box #12 fuse blowing immediately so I assumed I had a short somewhere. I blew at least 10 fuses trying different options of unplugging the right front driving light and the left rear tail light.....nothing worked.

While I was under the dash attaching a brown wire (ground) on the wiper switch because I accidently pulled it off, the wipers blew a fuse and I replaced the fuse and they work fine now.

    Hey Blas,
Hope you are safe and well. Yep another fuel gauge question. SPF 373- can you tell me the resistance specs on my Smiths fuel gauge. I optioned for the Fuel Safe cell when I bought the car new. I never trusted the fuel gauge. Now I am servicing the cell so now is a good time to go after the issue. The sender that came with the car is a Centroid capacitance style 240/33 ohm

I asked Peter Bayer in a note to him tell me the resistance spec for a '98 Smiths. He did not directly answer my question only to say my sender is not compatible with my original gauge, but that he had a Smiths gauge that would work with my sender.

The fuel gauge is is hell to get out. Worst gauge of all remove. Since I have the cell out I figured the place to start is at the sender. I may have to pull the gauge ultimately.

If you could tell me the resistance spec for a gauge that old I would be very grateful.

    Best Regards,

    Ray Tharp-poboy427
