    hi there Andrew
thats the million doller question . are you wanting a kit thats true to a ac cobra ? if so a ford engine and manual trans would be the only way . however many of us prefer the ls engine for different reasons . ie ally block a nice weight saving plenty of variants from the 5.7 right up to a 427 ci stroked 6.2 litre.. .i went 6.o lt ls engine and 6 speed auto due to the fact i have a lower left leg injury that makes some clutches a problem for me . i went the 6 speed auto with tiptronic shift it prob can go thru the gears faster than a bloke changing gears with a manual/ i bought a ve commy right off from the auctions that gave me a low k 6.0 litre ls engine with the 6 speed auto i needed plus the ecu and associated wiring and sensors i sold what was left of the car and in the end my engine /trans and diff centre owed me around 3000g so cost was another reason i went that way ..
